Silver Surfer Animated Series (1,450 bytes)

The Silver Surfer animated series aired in 1997 on the Fox Kids Network and was a major hit. The first season of the show introduced the Silver Surfer, Galactus, Nova, Thanos, the Watchers, Eternity, Infinity, Adam Warlock, numerous alien races, and a whole lot more.

Unfortunately, legal differences between Saban and Marvel brought the series to an abrupt end. For this same reason, reruns were never televised beyond the cancellation and episodes of the show were never offered for purchase. Even though 21 scripts were completed by Larry Brody, the writer of the series, only the thirteen comprising the first season of the show were aired.

Visually, the series combined Kirby-style character design with three-dimensional computer generated imaging (CGI). The overall look, especially the CGI Galactus, made for very sweet eye candy.

Below is an episode guide of the first (and only) season of the show. More information can be found at Larry Brody's website, www.tvwriter.com under the animation section.
