Though you do not trust me, I must write to you in repentance and explain my deeds. Before the Seven Fortunes, my actions were to preserve the temple, not to allow it to fall.
I have been overcome. Already, I can feel my face sliding away.
But there is still time. The Temple of the Seven Thunders was but the beginning; across the Empire, temples are in roaring flames, the only light that brightens the dark skies of the Empire. The Shadow believes that it has ended the Tao forever. Goju believes that, by erasing it, he has taken our future. Thus, he turns his eyes to Oblivion's Gate, seeking to slaughter our past and destroy Jigoku.
He is wrong. I cannot tell you more-only this: nothing understood can truly be destroyed.
