Let them come, and let them die!

Already, Jigoku erupts into flames, the dead choking and dying beneath our iron hand. Their deaths signal the end of Rokugan- a clean slate, ready for us to write our future. A dark future, united beneath the darkness of a sky with no moon and no sun. A sky where the Dark God's children roam, and where a Goju rules from the darkness that once was Otosan Uchi.

We have opened Oblivion's Gate, and while the armies of the Empire gather there, our servants corrupt the land of the Empire to the north. Even if they defeat us, there will be no Empire for them to return to save. It will be too late - and we will have won, even if Volturnum falls. The great Kumo rises with the blood of the Emperor Hantei on its fangs, feeling hatred stir within its bellies. The armies of the Empire rest outside our gates, deep within the Shadowlands. There is no one left behind, to protect the Empire from our final assault. Soon, Otosan Uchi will be a true web of lies and deceit - and the Crab wall, tainted from within, will begin to fall. This was our plan from the beginning - and now, it has succeeded. Let them attack us, and we will crush them from within and without.

There will be no hope. No dawn.

And while the Shadow stalks the land, changing every tree and palace into faceless terrain, the armies of Rokugan will wither and die beneath Jigoku's full wrath released. Their souls, darkened by the fall of Oblivion's Gate, will be one with the Shadow. They will serve Goju, and they will at last understand. Let there be no spirit - no soul. Only the ever-changing flesh of shadow, the incorruptible, mutable, enduring flesh that Goju's touch creates. Let there be shadow without light.

The day is ours.
