Toturi the First sits again on his Jade Throne, his eyes filled with darkness. No taint seems to touch him, yet an evil more insidious than the Shadowlands saps his strength, demanding more and more blood to appease the bitter hunger of his soul. In the Shadowlands, a massive army of undead crushes through the Wall, fighting against the combined strength of the Lion and the Crab. The Crane crash in civil war, and the Dragon rise again under a new leader. Shadows move in the darkness, tearing the spirits of the ancestors from their graves, and the scrolls of the Ikoma libraries turn brittle and brown, their words vanishing like water across sand.
