Crab Clan Letter - #20

Little Brother -

I commend you in the valor you have shown of late. To be truthful, after his meeting with you the Dark Lord did not believe that you were a capable enough leader to rally the Crab and organize such an effective counter-attack against the Wall. I knew that you had more potential than that, and fortunately the Dark Lord trusted my judgment.

However, I must admit that even I am surprised by how much you have accomplished so quickly. You have retaken five of the six fallen towers, leaving the Horde with only one. I suppose I could blame the quantity and quality of my own troops - I was left with only a handful of goblins and undead to defend the Wall while he took the Onisu, Tsuno, and Obsidian Magistrates with him to Otosan Uchi, but to blame my loss on others would be petty. The truth is simple. You wanted victory more than I did. Through all of our battles, I was shackled by regret, remorse, and weakness. I was torn by memories of my former life, unable to accept what I have become.
That time is over now.

As you may have heard, the Nightmares of the Clans fell in battle during the recent attack on Otosan Uchi. Kyofu, the Onisu of Fear, the demon that was born from our own clan's weaknesses, was laid low by a humble Nezumi. After the spirit of Kyofu was banished to the Realm of Nightmares once more, it came to me in a dream. This Onisu and I, it seems, have much in common. Both of us were born of the Crab, but have become something greater. Both of us wish to punish those who would stand against the Horde.

Kyofu and I now stand together as one, a single entity. We hold the final tower of the Kaiu Wall.

We wait for you there, my brother.

Come and face us, if you are not afraid.

Hida Kuroda

True Champion of the Crab
