My brothers and sisters, the time has come to face an uncomfortable truth.
After communion with the spirits of our ancestors, we have determined that the Imperial City is cursed beyond redemption. Twice now it has served as the site of Fu Leng's rise to power. The Forbidden City itself now festers with corruption and the rest of the city is little better. Even the magic of the noble Kuni has done little to cleanse the once proud city.
Otosan Uchi is no more.
I give the order now. Put the city to the torch. Evacuate the survivors and put the city to the torch. As of today, the city is the domain of the Lion. It is our duty to protect the ruins and make sure that no creatures of the Taint escape its boundaries into the Empire. I give this duty to the Legion of the Wolf, and I expect that they shall perform it with their typical dedication to excellence. They shall share this duty with the Yotsu family of ronin, and their dojo in the city shall be left intact.
Let none disturb the grave of what once was the greatest city in the Empire.
Those who defy this decree defy the Lion.
