The Crab Clan
The children of Hida are the defenders of Rokugan. They hold the great Kaiu Wall against the Tainted armies of the Shadowlands. Though the other clans consider them unculktured braggarts, the Crab know where their duty lies. Each day they lay down their lives for an Empire that cares little for their existence. They are the Crab.
Kyuden Hida
The call goes out across the Crab lands - any who can take the heads of twenty goblins and return alive will gain fealty with the Crab, no questions asked. The Twenty Goblin Winter has drawn a number of ronin, peasants, and soldiers of fortune tothe Kaiu Wall. The soldiers may be an unsavory, untrustworethy lot, but they do not need to be trusted. They only need to fight.

The Crane Clan
The Crane walk the path of Lady Doji, the Kami of legendary beauty and grace. They are the caretakers of excellence. The art, music and etiquette of Rokugan are their creations. They are the voice of the Emperor, a clan of wealth and splendor. Those who assume the Crane to be weak are sorely mistaken, for the sharpo wit of the Crane courtiers is easily matched by the deadly steel of their duelists. They are the Crane.
The Kakita Dueling Academy
Though the Crane have lost much of their political influence to their Scorpion enemies, their steel is as strong as ever. Those who face the Crane in battle may find their generals challenged by the masteers of iaijutsu. Those who accept are swiftly cut down, their armies left in disarray. Those who refuse the honor are mocked shamelessly in the courts, their reputation forever destroyed. And what is life without honor?

The Scorpion
The Scorpion clan practices the arts of deception, extortion, and espionage. It is said that there is no secret unkown by teh Scorpion. Though others consider them duplicitous, the Scorpion survive through their intense loyalty to one another. A Scorpion does not question orders, and is ever prepared to lay down his life for a brother. They are the Scorpion.
The Shosuro Gardens
The doors of the Castle of Pretending are always open, though few survive their journey through the beautiful, deadly gardens. The Shosuro are masters of deception. Their spies and assassins can undo an enemy's plan before it begins. Their subtle poisons can kill swiftly, leaving no trace. It is from here that the Scorpion m,asters of the court plot their next move in the great plan that will place an heir of their choosing upon the throne, granting them total control of the Empire.
