Unfinished Business - Prelude by Rich Wulf

In thirty years, much has happened in Rokugan, but much has gone undone as well. There are many tales left untold, and many heroes whose destinies lie unfulfilled.

They call to you now.

In the Crab, an ancient warrior remembers the day his courage faltered, and wanders what might have happened if things had been different.

In the Crane, one man remembers a time when men stood unified, and wonders if such a thing could happen again.

In the Dragon, a great hero waits amid the mountain peaks, wondering when the time of his legendary destiny will come to pass.

In the Lion, an old man may hold the the secret of the greatest threat to his clan.

In the Phoenix, a lost soul wanders with fragmented memories of the past and future, looking for a way home.

Amid the tribes of the Nezumi, a lone scout seeks the souls consumed by the Lying Darkness, determined to save them before his own Name passes into tomorrow.

In the Scorpion, an aged general grits his teeth over the way he was played in his youth; with nothing left to lose he plots his vengeance against a foe he cannot defeat.

In the Shadowlands, a master of dark magic slowly recovers from his painful defeat, sworn to return stronger than ever or die once and for all.

And in the clan of the Unicorn, a powerful shugenja has determined not to stand aside while Chagatai's great armies prepare for war.

Step forward and be counted for your clan. The clan that wins will see their hero return from retirement to fulfill their destiny.

A brief story will be read at the conclusion of the touranment itself, to be followed at a later time with the conclusion of the respective character's story in an online fiction.

Good luck.

And no I'm not telling you who any of the above characters are, though you can very likely guess.
