Okay, okay, I admit it. There are a hell of a lot of characters in this story and it's getting hard to keep track. So, as a public service to you people who read the whole thing, here's a list of all characters great and small, with links to images from the gallery for some characters. Agasha Hisojo (Dragon Clan) proprietor of Hisojo's Herbs and Curiosities, landlord and friend to Kitsuki Hatsu, secret member of the Dragon Clan.

Agasha Kyoko (Dragon Clan) librarian, shugenja, member of the Hidden Dragon.

Agasha Mae (Phoenix Clan) young daimyo of the Phoenix Agasha

Ahmed Saleem (Unaligned) Minister of Trade, Allied Senpet Nation.

Air Dragon (Unaligned) One of the true Dragons, now lost to the taint of the Shadowlands.

Ahrakan-bin-Fasil (Unaligned) Sahir from Medinaat-al-Salaam.

Akhent (Senpet) Sergeant in the army of the Senpet.

Akiyoshi (unaligned) A young girl, formerly named Shima, member of Toturi's Army.

Akkan (unaligned) Hatsu's dog, a part beagle, part Akita mix.

Amane Toshiro (unaligned) An Imperial Magistrate who is manipulated into becoming Kama's enemy.

Akodo Daniri (Lion) famed star of the Akodo War Machines and many feature films such as All Against the Qabal.

Akodo Jiko (Lion) an action movie star originally from the Crane Clan. Often confused with Akodo Daniri.

Akodo Miki (Lion) famous young movie starlet, specializing in action roles.

Akodo Sheng (Lion) minor actor, stuntman, frequent supporting character on the Akodo War Machines.

Akuma (Shadowlands) the Oni Lord of Oni Lords, who nearly destroyed Rokugan during the Shadow Wars. Though he was banished by the magic of the Phoenix and the sacrifice of the Dragon, he was never destroyed.

Al Judar (Khadi) leader of the cult of heartless sorcerors known as the khadi. Ever in service to the ruler of the Jewel of the Desert, Al Judar is currently one of Pharaoh Rujdak-hai's chief advisors.

Argcklt (unaligned) spokesperson for the Zokujin Liberation Society.

Aokekesu Go (Brotherhood) outgoing and gregarious leader of the Order of the Jay. Nicknamed the Laughing Monk.

Asahina Munashi (Crane) High Priest of the Asahina and caretaker of the Fantastic Gardens. Longtime friend of Doji Meda and one of the most powerful shugenja in all of Rokugan.

Asahina Yasen (Crane) a skilled technician assigned to the research and development of a possible Crane War Machine.

Asako Ishikint (Phoenix) Master of Earth. The first Nezumi to ever be allowed to swear fealty to the Phoenix Great Clan in recorded history.

Asako Jemonji (Phoenix) a research scientist at Phoenix Mercy Hospital.

Asako Nitobe (Phoenix) Chief of Staff, Phoenix Mercy Hospital. A very logical and traditional man, whose opinions run very deep.

Asako Kul (Phoenix) daimyo of the Asako family, chief shugenja in charge of maintaining the Great Seal.

Asako Sano (Phoenix) A mysterious shugenja with a special vision for the spirit world.

Athmose (Senpet) Commander in the army of the Allied Senpet Nation. Leader of the Senpet attack upon Otosan Uchi.

Bayushi Dairyu (Scorpion) rightful daimyo of the Scorpion Clan. Has been missing and presumed dead for ten years. A very dangerous and mysterious man.

Bayushi Kenburo (Scorpion) son of Bayushi Kogeiru. Was recently arrested and executed for Daikoku's Milk distribution.

Bayushi Kogeiru (Scorpion) former interim daimyo of the Scorpion Clan. Brother of Bayushi Daiyu. An ineffective and sycophantic leader for his clan.

Bayushi Oroki (Scorpion) Son of Bayushi Kogeiru. Owner and proprieter of Bayushi's Labyrinth. Holder of secrets.

Bayushi Shiriko (Scorpion) daughter of Bayushi Daiyu; will become daimyo of the Scorpion when she comes of age this year.

Bayushi Taigo (Scorpion) a Scorpion Enforcer once under the employ of Bayushi Dairyu.

Bayushi Zou (Scorpion) personal bodyguard of Bayushi Oroki.

Calin (Unaligned) a young gaijin companion of Asako Sano.

Chikao (Unaligned) A shopkeeper in Little Jigoku with a rather interesting secret.

Daidoji Chiyo (Crane) A communications officer under Daidoji Eien's command.

Daidoji Eien (Crane) daimyo of the Daidoji family and leader of Dojicorp's military forces.

Daidoji Heizo (Crane) A Crane governor who drinks to much.

Daidoji Hisae (Crane) a Crane soldier known for his physical strength and martial arts prowess.

Daidoji Iku (Crane) a Crane soldier who sees himself as a practical joker.

Daidoji Maseto (Crane) teacher and yojimbo to Doji Kamiko. Killed in the Senpet assault on Otosan Uchi.

Daidoji Tamami (Crane) a minor Dojicorp executive.

Daidoji Ushiba (Crane) a Crane soldier who worships the ground Daidoji Eien walks upon.

Daidoji Yamana (Crane) a Crane demolitions expert.

Daidoji Yoshio (Crane) an inexperienced by unquestionably loyal Crane soldier.

Daikua Dokohutei (Mantis) a grizzled old pirate-turned-politician.

Daikua Kita (Mantis) a loyal member of Yoritomo VI's personal guard.

Daikua Mokin (Mantis) a rather zealous Mantis diplomat with strong sympathies toward the Lion Clan.

Dairya (unaligned) a one-eyed vigilante who models himself after the original ronin and friend of Toturi.

Doji Chomei (Crane) Emerald Champion during the Shadow Wars. Once wielded Yashin.

Doji Kamiko (Crane) daughter of the Emerald Champion, betrothed to Yoritomo Kameru. A willful and extremely intelligent young woman.

Doji Kamoto (Crane) Nephew of Doji Meda. Skilled young duellist, and believed by many to be destined to become the next Emerald Champion.

Doji Meda (Crane) Emerald Champion, daimyo of the Doji family, leader of the Crane Clan, and CEO of Dojicorp. A cold and unforgiving man, but one whose first concern is justice.

Earth Dragon (Unaligned) The wisest of the true Dragons.

Father, The (unknown) mysterious guardian of Rokugan. Ninja.

Fatima (Assassin) A remarkable young woman.

Funuke (unaligned) a clever thief.

Fire Dragon (unaligned) perhaps the most physically powerful of all the true Dragons.

Garegosu no Bakemono (Shadowlands) a monster that must be summoned from Jigoku by a willing sorceror. It becomes more powerful with each person it consumes, but vanishes with the next sunrise.

Gekkar (Jackal) Omar Massad's former lieutenant, now an undead ghul.

Genju Danjuro (unaligned) Akodo Daniri's true identity.

Genju Gemmei (unaligned) mother of Danjuro and Jiro. Peasant.

Genju Jiro (unaligned) a very brave young man, and one whom trouble seems to follow. Now undercover with the Locust Clan.

Ginawa (unaligned) A ronin with a strong sense of justice. Formerly known as Jinwa.

Godaigo (Toturi's Army) A skilled and tireless doctor.

Hachi Goro (Bee) Hotheaded ambassador of the Bee Clan, chosen by Queen Hachi to represent his clan on the Assembly of Minor Clans.

Hasame (Toturi's Army) A young ronin, killed during the Senpet Invasion.

Heichi Tetsugi (Boar) Emerald Magistrate, and advisor to Yoritomo VI. A most complicated man.

Heiko (Scorpion) a loyal servant of Bayushi Shiriko and formerly of her father, Bayushi Dairyu.

Hida Sukune (Crab) spiritual leader of the Cult of the Shadow Samurai.

Hida Tengyu (Crab) daimyo of the Hida and Champion of the Crab Clan.

Hida Yasu (Crab) nephew to Hida Tengyu (on his father's side) and Kaiu Toshimo (on his mother's). A brash and hotheaded young warrior. Graduate of the Seeker Acadaemy, the most esteemed of all Crab bushi schools.

Hiroru (Toturi's Army) a mysterious man who walks the dark streets of Otosan Uchi. Seems to have the fabled power of the legendary ninja.

Hiruma Hayato (Crab) Chief of Surveillance for Downtown, and friend of Hida Yasu. Also a graduate of the Seeker Academy.

Hiruma Oso (Crab) daimyo of the Hiruma Family. Not much is known about this man, and he rarely appears in public.

Hiruma Rinjin (Crab) a lieutenant in the Crab barracks at Otosan Uchi. It is his duty to keep track of the arrival and departure of Crab soldiers in the capitol.

Hito (Toturi's Army) a young fighter who reveres Ginawa.

Hitomi (Dragon) tempermental daimyo of the Hitomi family.

Hitomi Asahi (Dragon) Ise Zumi of the Hidden Dragon. Lord of the Dawn.

Hitomi Mayonaka (Dragon) Ise Zumi of the Hidden Dragon. Master of Midnight.

Hitomi Shougo (Dragon) Ise Zumi of the Hidden Dragon. Warrior of Days.

Horiuchi Kiyone (Unicorn) daimyo of the Horiuchi family and bodyguard to Shinjo Katsunan.

Hoshi (Dragon) leader of the hidden Dragons.

Hoshi Hisato(Brotherhood of Shinsei) a retired Phoenix shugenja who has begun the path of enlightenment.

Hoshi Jack (Brotherhood of Shinsei) a popular televangelist.

Hoshi Kenzo (Brotherhood of Shinsei) a wandering monk, who was a rogue and adventurer in his younger days.

Ichiro Chiodo (Badger) daimyo of the Badger Clan; was killed by Tsuruchi Kyo after making an assassination attempt upon Emperor Yoritomo VI.

Ichiro Chobu (Badger) son of Ichiro Chiodo, now on a mission of vengeance for what he sees as the framing and murder of his father.

Ide Ochiyo (Unicorn) daimyo of the Ide Family.

Ide Ennosuke (Unicorn) Unicorn Ambassador to the Diamond Palace.

Ikoma Eizo (Lion) daimyo of the Ikoma family and political leader of the Lion Clan. Former chief anchorman for KTSU.

Ikoma Keijura (Lion) a popular young reporter for KTSU.

Ikoma Koyo (Lion) a cameraman recently partnered with Ikoma Keijura.

Ikoma Yakamura (Lion) director of the afternoon and early evening news for KTSU.

Inago (Locust) leader of the gang of terrorists known as the Locust Clan. Almost nothing is known of this person, even by his close advisors.

Inago mitni (Locust) Inago Sekkou's sister, an important ally of the Locust.

Inago Sekkou (Locust) Locust Clan recruiter and Inago's chief lieutenant. A very charismatic, but volatile leader.

Isawa Asa (Phoenix) former Master of Fire. He fell into a coma after an overdose of Daikoku's Milk, and died shortly thereafter under tragic circumstances.

Isawa Chan (Phoenix) an extraordinarily skilled tetsukami engineer.

Isawa Gura (Phoenix) a young shugenja in the Phoenix armies.

Isawa Kadiri (Phoenix) a nurse at Phoenix Mercy Hospital.

Isawa Kujimitsu (Phoenix) Master of Water. Has held his position longer than any of the other Elemental Masters, and is usually looked upon as the leader of the group.

Isawa Neiko (Phoenix) Retired samurai-ko, gravely wounded many years ago in a secret mission for the Phoenix. Mother of Isawa Sumi.

Isawa Saigo(Phoenix) a young prophet with a lot of problems.

Ishan (Unknown) maho-tsukai necromancer responsible for the destruction of Holy Home City.

Iuchi Funjinku (Unicorn) a curious young diplomat on assignment with Heichi Tetsugi.

Iuchi Hiro (Unicorn) brother of Iuchi Razul. Skilled shugenja in his own right and member of the Shinjo Police Department.

Iuchi Kenyu (Unicorn) an young shugenja with very strong but unconventional religious beliefs.

Iuchi Razul (Unicorn) dapper daimyo of the Iuchi Family.

Jade Dragon (Unaligned) youngest of the true Dragons. His fate is unknown to mortals, and the true Dragons never speak of him.

Jared Carfax (Oracles) the amiable but enigmatic Oracle of the Wind.

Jinn of the Burning Star (Jinn) a spirit of mist and thunder, invulnerable to all but the most powerful magics.

Jinn of the New Moon (Jinn) a powerful spirit that can only be summoned at great cost.

Jinn of the Silent Tower (Jinn) a spirit of lightning, mischief, and destruction.

Jinwa (unaligned) former yojimbo and teacher of Doji Kamiko. Has found new purpose in the ranks of Toturi's Army (see Ginawa).

Kagyu (Snail) Calm and philosophical daimyo of the Snail Clan. Member of the Assembly of Minor Clans.

Kaibutsu (Locust) Former pitfighter. Joined the Locust Clan when no one else would have him. A very violent but also very sensitive being.

Kaiu Toshimo (Crab) daimyo of the Kaiu family and uncle to Hida Yasu. Perhaps one of the greatest engineers in all of Rokugan.

Kakita Daiken (Crane) intern in the Diamond Palace, personal assistant to Magistrate Tetsugi.

Kakita Yoshiri (Crane) an acclaimed musician.

Karasu Meiji (Brotherhood) idealistic young member of the Order of the Crow. Assigned as personal student and servant of Hoshi Kenzo.

Karasu Nobuyoshi (Brotherhood) leader of the Order of the Crow, the most senior member of the Brotherhood of Shinsei.

Kashrak (Naga) Abomination and maho-tsukai. Summoner of the Elemental Terrors and master of Downtown.

Kazuko (Locust) an ambitious young woman who has recently joined the Locust Clan. She is a close friend of Kaibutsu.

Kenichi (unaligned) a legendary ronin who followed in the footsteps of the first Ginawa, breaking the curse of one of the Bloodswords by slaying the reborn Bloodspeaker, Yajinden.

Kenji (unaligned) a clerk in a convenience store in Otosan Uchi.

Kenko (Locust) minor thug of the Locust Clan.

Kenshi Michi (Cricket) gambler, adventurer, ambassador, and daimyo of the Cricket Clan. Member of the Assembly of Minor Clans.

Kentaika (unaligned) chief coroner of Shinjo Tower.

Khalifah (Ebonite) head of the Ebonite Church, Allied Senpet Nation.

Kitsu Ayano (Lion) famed director and High Priestess of the Temple of Ancestors.

Kitsu Denbe (Lion) assistant to Akodo Daniri.

Kitsu Foruku (Lion) former news anchor for KTSU. Was recently dismissed by Imperial request.

Kitsu Ikimura (Lion) the great special effects artist, designer of the Akodo War Machine.

Kitsu Jurin (Lion) daughter of Kitsu Suro, a sodan-senzo who is very curious about zokujin culture.

Kitsu Mizutoki (Lion) chief sodan-senzo for KTSU news. A very wise and comtemplative man.

Kitsu Suro (Lion) president of the Okurachem Metal Processing Corporation.

Kitsu Tono (Lion) opinionated advisor to Matsu Gohei.

Kitsuki Hatsu (Dragon) a cunning young man from a family of magistrates. Formerly a detective in Shinjo Tower and partner of Otaku Sachiko. Is now believed dead by most of Rokugan, though he lives under the protection of Lord Hoshi. He is the Dragon Clan Thunder.

Kitsuki Iimin (Dragon) daimyo of the Kitsuki Family. Popular writer of detective novels.

Kitsune Doi (Fox) brother of Kitsune Maiko, Imperial Ambassador.

Kitsune Kama (Fox) first Jade Champion after the Shadow War, slayer of Doji Chomei.

Kitsune Maiko (Fox) the current Jade Champion. She is the sister-in-law of Yoritomo the Sixth, and aunt of Ryosei and Kameru. She is a rather bookish and reclusive woman, who places moral imperatives above the law at all times.

Kitsune Yoshimi (Fox) the Fox Clan representative on the Assembly of Minor Clans.

Kuni Hojo (Crab) a tough samurai who has frequently beaten Hida Yasu in tavern brawls.

Kuni Kassir (Shadowlands) a heartless sorceror who has found a place with the Stormbreaker's School of Enlightenment. Believed to be Ishan.

Kuni Mokuna (Crab) daimyo of the Kuni family, named for the famed Shadowlands scholar. Proprietor of the Kuni Archives and tsukai tsugasu.

Mago (unaligned) a smuggler with rotten luck.

Mari (unaligned) friend of Akodo Daniri/Genju Danjuro

Master of the Void (Phoenix) he is a Nameless One, and perhaps the most disturbing of the current Elemental Masters. (see Moto Hashin)

Matsu Gohei (Lion) extremely militant daimyo of the Lion Clan, named after the Butcher of the Clan Wars. Most Lions consider him a relic of an earlier time, a mere figurehead, not the true leader of the Lion. He thinks differently.

Matsu Haruki (Lion) a bushi in the employ of Kitsu Ayano.

Matsu Shingo (Lion) current anchorman for KTSU News.

Mirumuto Chojin (Dragon) retired Dragon Clan Weapons Master.

Mirumuto Ichio (Dragon) secret name of Kemmei Ichiro, ice cream store owner. Samurai of the Hidden Dragon.

Mirimuto Jakucho (Dragon) appliance salesman. Samurai of the hidden Dragon.

Mirumuto Rojo (Dragon) daimyo of the Mirumuto family and samurai of the hidden Dragon.

Mikio (Toturi's Army) chief mechanic of Toturi's Army. Expert at salvage.

Moshi Denben (Centipede) daimyo of the Centipede, Denben is a brilliant man whose scientific accomplisments sometimes outstrip his own ability to find practical applications for them. Member of the Assembly of Minor Clans.

Moto Hashin (Phoenix) the true name of the Master of the Void, a man who made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of his clan and his friends.

Mushi (unaligned) a rather thickheaded old sailor.

Naref (Senpet) a general in the Senpet army and chief military advisor to Pharaoh Rujdak-hai. He is a brash but very capable warrior.

Nariaki Ryu (Dog) quiet and easy-going daimyo of the Dog Clan. Member of the Assembly of Minor Clans.

Naydiram (Oracles) the gruff but dutiful Oracle of Earth.

Oka Razan (Tortoise) a close friend of Heichi Tetsugi, and the Tortoise representative on the Assembly of Minor Clans.

Omar Masaad (Locust) leader of the terrorist group known as the Jackals. He is a wanted thief, kidnapper and assassin, who reputedly is also a master of animating the dead. He has currently found a new home amid the ranks of the Locust Clan.

The Old Man of the Mountain (Assassin) ancient leader of the assassin guild of Medinaat-al-Salaam.

Oni no Akeru (Shadowlands) Elemental Terror of the Void. Currently makes his home in Bayushi's Labyrinth.

Oni no Byoki (Shadowlands) the species of oni known for bringing plague and disease wherever they go.

Oni no Jimen (Shadowlands) Elemental Terror of Earth, slain by Hida Yasu.

Oni no Kaze (Shadowlands) Elemental Terror of Air. Slain by Isawa Sumi.

Oni no Kiri (Shadowlands) A large, spider-like oni composed of metallic and crystalline materials.

Oni no Mizu (Shadowlands) Elemental Terror of Water

Oni no Pekkle (Shadowlands) an oni summoned by Asahina Munashi for unknown reasons.

Oni no Shikibu (Shadowlands) a demon that creates bodies for itself out of the dead husks of men and machines.

Oni no Taki bi (Shadowlands) Elemental Terror of Fire

Orin Wake (unaligned) son of the Amijdal Ambassador. Friend of Yoritomo Kameru. Currently held by the Imperial Guard under rather flimsy charges of treason.

Otaku Kojiro (Unicorn) captain of Kitsuki Hatsu's division at Shinjo Tower.

Otaku Nakao (Unicorn) a young battle maiden under the command of Otaku Shoda.

Otaku Sachiko (Unicorn) a fiery young Battle Maiden. Partner of Kitsuki Hatsu.

Otaku Shoda (Unicorn) the grim leader of the Otaku Battle Maidens.

Pharoah Rujdak-hai (Senpet) current leader of the Senpet Nations.

Ranbe Ishihn (Mantis) a close friend of Yoritomo Kameru and an amateur shugenja. Recently killed.

Ranbe Kuro (Mantis) A wise old Mantis Shugenja who claims his father worked with the Dragon on the original Fire Dragon bomb.

Ranbe Yuya (Mantis) Daimyo of the Ranbe family, she carries a strange and unique burden.

Rathma (Senpet) Captain in the army of the Allied Senpet Nation. Sahir and summoner of the Jinn of the New Moon.

Retsu (Unaligned) thug, assassin, and kidnapper for hire.

Ryhodotsu (Lobster) brash and sometimes violent daimyo of the Lobster Clan. Member of the Assembly of Minor Clans.

Saru Yaro (Monkey) founder of Saru Security Services, daimyo of the Monkey Clan, and Monkey Clan representative on the Assembly of Minor Clans.

Seforete (Senpet) Lieutenant in the army of the Allied Senpet Nation. Second in command of the Senpet attack upon Otosan Uchi.

Selena Totec (Oracles) The hot-blooded young Oracle of Fire.

Shiba Ashijun (Phoenix) former Champion of the Phoenix, murdered several decades ago in Medinaat-al-Salaam.

Shiba Emon (Phoenix) a fat Phoenix merchant who spends much of his free time lounging about the court of Yoritomo VI.

Shiba Gensu (Phoenix) cousin of Shiba Mifune, daimyo of the Shiba family.

Shiba Jo (Phoenix) a young bushi just past his gempukku, still in training.

Shiba Katsumi (Phoenix) a samurai-ko grievously wounded during Oni no Kaze's attack upon the Temple of the Elements.

Shiba Kenshojo (Phoenix) a samurai who employed at Phoenix Mercy Hospital; ended up in the wrong place at the worst time.

Shiba Mifune (Phoenix) was daimyo of the Phoenix Clan, though he never truly possessed the Soul of Shiba. He was an indecisive man who resented the Elemental Masters. Was slain by Oni no Kaze.

Shiba Mojo (Phoenix) former yojimbo of Isawa Asa, now yojimbo to his daughter, Sumi. Has a reputation for being a jigolo.

Shinjo Chikafusa (Unicorn) a detective in Shinjo Tower. Dead.

Shinjo Katsunan (Unicorn) daimyo of the Unicorn and Master of the Four Winds.

Shinjo Maku (Unicorn) a policeman killed in the line of duty by Ichiro Chobu.

Shinjo Rakki (Unicorn) a harbor cop with incredible luck.

Shiryo no Tsuke (Phoenix) once Isawa Tsuke, Master of Fire. Now an ancestral spirit who watches over and guides Isawa Saigo, the Phoenix Clan prophet.

Shosuro Hanzo (Scorpion) a skilled helicopter pilot and ruthless warrior.

Shosuro Hendo (Scorpion) sensei of the Father. Electronics expert.

Shosoro Kochiyo (Scorpion) a geisha who is very interested in Akodo Daniri.

Shosuro Shasame (Scorpion) daimyo of the Shosuro family, CEO of the Shosoru Oil and Finance Corporation (Shosoil).

Shotai (Toturi's Army) owner of Shotai's, a small restaurant in Little Jigoku.

Soshi Hachami (Scorpion) a geisha, killed mysteriously in Bayushi's Labyrinth. Was married to Bayushi Zou, though she kept her original family name to conceal the marriage.

Soshi Isawa (Scorpion) cynical daimyo of the Soshi family. A very dangerous man, and a brilliant mechanic.

Soshi Tango (Scorpion) a student of Soshi Isawa, now assisting in the repair of the Akodo War Machine.

Soshi Zanjin (Scorpion) an employee of Bayushi Oroki, killed under mysterious circumstances.

Soshi Zeshin (ronin) a bloodthirsty mercenary.

Stormbreaker (unknown) leader of a conspiracy against the Emperor.

Sumi (Phoenix) formerly Isawa Sumi, daughter of Isawa Asa. A troubled young shugenja with sometimes uncontrollable power over the element of fire. Is now the bearer of the Soul of Shiba and reluctant leader of the Phoenix Clan.

Suzume Fumihiko (Brotherhood) leader of the Order of the Sparrow. A greedy and hypocritical man.

Thi'kwithatch (Unaligned) member of the Cult of the Shadow Samurai. Former apprentice of Asako Ishikint. Nezumi.

Thunder Dragon (Unaligned) one of the True Dragons, who went to earth and became mortal many centuries ago.

Togashi Gunjin (Dragon) owner of a martial arts dojo in Otosan Uchi and Ise Zumi of the Hidden Dragon. Gave his life so that Kitsuki Hatsu, the Dragon Clan Thunder, might live to save the world.
